cultural performances
Participants will have the chance to experience breathtaking traditional drumming and dance performances led by Karunaratne Bandara and some of the best male and female performers in the country.
Performances will be held in the garden where we train and in the 800 year old temple located within walking distance from where we are based. The tour will be held in the first two weeks of April. The Sri Lankan New Year celebrations occur on 13 and 14 April. Traditionally, the New Year celebrations also mark the end of the harvest for rice farmers and rituals are held to give thanks and share the blessing with friends and family. We will get the opportunity to visit local ritual performances that take place during this period. |
